title = "3-dimensional visualization of granitic rocks subjected to impact loading using micro-focus X-ray CT scanner",
abstract = "In this study, pulse shape-controlled Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar system was used to impact granitic rock samples for achieving the dynamic stress equilibrium and constant strain rate. The impact velocity of impact bar was ranged from 14 m/sec to 18 m/sec. The microfocus X-ray Computerized Tomography was used to visualize dynamic damages of the tested sample nondestructively. The scanned slices were rendered to build 3D dimensional images of the samples. The damage mechanism of brittle rocks subjected to dynamic loading was discussed.",
