Abstract
This paper presents an evaluation and a comparison of two diagnosis techniques, the max-min composition method, which especially has the advantage that it is easy to implement, and the distance method, which is used to decrease loss of information. The simulation results show that the two techniques have a significant difference in diagnostic results when we use only the largest value of the max-min composition as a diagnostic measure. However, there is no significant difference when we use the values of more than 0.5 in the method.
