Abstract

Ossifying fibroma of the long bones is a rare fibro-osseous lesion that appears to originate from the cortex of either the tibia or fibula in children. Ossifying fibroma has a well-vascularized fibrous stroma with trabeculae of new bone. However, three-phase bone imaging in ossifying fibroma has not been reported. The authors report a case of a hypervascular ossifying fibroma of the tibia revealed by Tc-99m MDP three-phase bone scintigraphy.
