Abstract

The preparation method of ordered and interconnected macroporous carbon with mesopores using monodispered silica particles combined with in situ polymerized silica network as a removable template and using resorcinol-formaldehyde derivative polymer as carbon source was presented. High magnification SEM image of MaMeC clearly showed three dimensionally interconnected macropores with small framework mesopores. SEM-EDX analysis MaMeC showed that the inorganic template was removed. The diameter of macropores could be manipulated using monodispersed silica particles with different size. SEM-EDX analysis MaMeC showed that the inorganic template was removed.
