Abstract

Service oriented approach is increasingly being utilized to develop business applications to keep pace with the changing environment and business requirements. Service identification is one of the core activities in developing Service oriented systems. To identify proper services, business requirements and business change factors should be analyzed because the ultimate aim of a service oriented system is to achieve business requirements and business agility. We propose a service identification method based on scenario modeling and a conceptual framework to elicit possible business changes. Traceability among business requirements, business changes and the identified services are also supported by our method.
