Abstract

This study aims to investigate influential factors on the health of the disabled. For this purpose, the study uses the Study on National Survey of the Disabled Persons given in 2011 to analyze the effect of factors such as socioeconomic status, social discrimination and physical environment on the health of the people with disabilities and to confirm the relative influence of these factors. The results showed that the independent variables of income level, perception of discrimination and residential environment had significant influences on the health of the disabled. When the relative influence among these independent variables was investigated, the income level variable had the greatest influence on health, followed by perception of discrimination and then residential environment. Based on these results, the researchers discuss some important implications for treatment of the health of the disabled.
