Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the performance characteristics of conventional manifold of solar collectors and manifolds that are fabricated by the application of hydroforming technology. Experiments were done to examine the conventional manifold and the manifolds manufactured by hydroforming technology. These experiments were performed by changing the flow rate and the solar radiation. Simulation tests were also performed using an analysis program, and the results were compared. Characteristics and trends of the hydroformed manifold were observed in the experiments.
