Abstract

The production of antilambda and antiproton in Au+Au collisions at 11.7A GeV/c was determined. The spectra and invariant yields for both species in central and peripheral collisions were obtained in the rapidity range 1.0<y<1.4. The direct antiproton yield was determined from the measurement of total antiproton spectra to extract the ratio of antilambda-to-direct-antiproton production. The ratio obtained near midrapidity was found to increase with a value larger than theoretical estimates.
