title = "Collagen isolation from porcine small intestinal submucosa and application of collagen as wound healing",
abstract = "A study to examine the possibility of wound healing using cross-linked collagen matrix in rat was discussed. Full thickness skin incisions were made on the back of healing-impaired rat in order to evaluate its accelerating effect for wound healing. The In vivo results shows the closure and histological characteristics of wounds treated with collagen matrix compared to those of wounds given standard treatment. The results show that the application of collagen matrixes from porcine small intestinal submucosa (SIS) induced wound contraction and accelerated wound closure in rat.",
