Abstract

Colored concrete is an attractive alternative to traditional concrete which has poor esthetic properties, in the view point of architectural designs. White Portland Cement (WPC) and inorganic pigment or carbon has been used in colored concrete, but there are some physical problems such as poor workability and low compressive. In this study, physical properties of colored mortar using of Carbon Amino Silica Black (CASB) were investigated and compared with general WPC colored mortar. The results show that the addition ratio of CASB influences significantly the color value efficiency in colored mortar. And the flow of colored mortar was increased with mixing CASB, but the strength of black colored mortars with more than 5% CASB recorded low compressive strength can be because of the exceeded maximum superplasticizers quantity stipulated by manufacturer.
