Abstract

Electrical characterization was performed to investigate charge transport through alkane-mono and dithiol self-assembled monolayers molecular electronic devices. From the statistical analysis of the electrical transport properties on the mass-fabricated molecular devices, we found that the transport decay coefficient β value of dithiol devices is lower than that of monothiol devices. This discrepancy results from the difference of chemical structure of them.
