Design of alow supply voltage CMOS VDTA for multifunction filters

Research output: Contribution to journalJournal articlepeer-review

Abstract

In this paper, a new low supply voltage CMOS VDTA is proposed and the performance of proposed CMOS VDTA is demonstrated by comparing the theory and simulation with the conventional CMOS VDTA. The main advantage of the proposed VDTA is that there are only two transistors composing path from Vdd to Vss and can be operated in very low power supply voltage,±0.6V∼0.9with only 2VDSAT saturation voltages which is superior to that of the conventional VDTAs. And also, 5MHz multifunction filter is designed with the proposed CMOS VDTA and it can be achieved three functions of lowpass, bandpass and highpass filter. The performance of the proposed low supply voltage CMOS VDTA and filter is verified using HSPICE simulation with CMOS 0.18μm process parameters.
