abstract = "We propose the millimeter-wave broadband 1 × 8 antenna array with user hand grip sensing functionality for mobile application. The built-in device is called 'SENTENNA' which stands for SENsor and anTENNA. The proposed antenna has the structure of a double patches array and a two per-pendicularly T-sharped proximity-coupled fed patch for dual polarizations. The proximity-coupled square microstrip patch antenna array of SENTENNA is designed and simulated to operate at the entire global mm-wave 5G spectrum band and capacitance variation on the patch is analyzed at 1 MHz. The performance of the designed SENTENNA is evaluated by HFSS simulation.",
