Abstract

The general goal of this research is to construct new precipitation algorithm optimized for heavy rainfall in Korea peninsular from satellite passive microwave sensor data, such as TRMM/TMI. At the same time, this study assessed the verification of new algorithm with in-situ meteorological measurements and precipitation radar. Finally, this research aims to assess a construction of the GIS database for regional rainfall.
