Abstract
Because of the retroperitoneal location of the kidney, intraperitoneal urine leaks are uncommon. A 70-year-old woman with bilateral hydronephroses caused by invasive carcinoma of the uterine cervix had urine ascites confirmed by paracentesis. Intraperitoneal and retroperitoneal urine leaks were diagnosed by dynamic renal scintigraphy. Radionuclide antegrade pyelography revealed the location of the urine leaks. These findings show the utility of radionuclide renal imaging in the diagnosis of urine leaks.
