Abstract
The authors showed that appropriate functional groups on a ligand can hydrogen bond to an adjacent ligand, thereby affecting the reactivity and stability of the adjacent ligand. Using this approach, they were able to stabilize an HF complex by hydrogen bonding and spectrospically characterize the HF complex in solution.
