Efficient carrier phase recovery with block turbo codes

Abstract

This paper presents an efficient carrier recovery algorithm combined with turbo-coding technique in mobile communication system. By using a block turbo code consists of independently decodable block codes, we can efficiently recover fast time varying carrier phase as well as correct channel errors. We can apply this approach to the applications with high mobile speed. Our simulation results reveal that the proposed scheme can compensate phase error of an order of fast changing.
