Abstract
We have studied electrical transport properties of DNA molecules trapped between two Au electrodes. The measured current-voltage characteristics through DNA molecules exhibit nonlinear behaviors. At low bias voltages, no current is measured, while the current rises rapidly above a certain threshold voltages. Besides, there exists a large hysteresis according to the direction of voltage sweep. We have also investigated the temperature dependence. With increasing temperature, the conductance increases and the voltage gap decreases.
