Explanation of the Atomic Force Microscope-Based Nanoscale 3D Printing of Quantum Dots

Abstract

Conceptual explanation of atomic force microscope-based nanoscale 3D printing of quantum dots is given, specifically utilizing nanoscale nozzle (nanopipette) integrated with the quartz tuning fork-based atomic force microscope. How these nanopipettes are incorporated into atomic force microscopy to enable the controlled ejection of liquid through a nanosized aperture on the substrate is explored and how this process forms the basis for fabricating 3D structures is studied.
