Abstract
A fast switching thin-cell gap FFS LCD with reverse-handed chiral dopant is proposed. This FFS LCD exhibits a fast response time (∼8 ms), high light efficiency (∼90%), and a low operation voltage (∼5 rms. Besides, we also investigated the key requirement of high transmitíame in a FFS cell with the assistance of polarization trace in the Poincaré sphere. Its application for LCD video applications in order to reduce image blurring is emphasized.
