Abstract

The GeO2 nanomicron to submicron fibers have been synthesized by electrospinning. The study suggests that GeO2 have distinctive properties which includes strength, stability, insulating and purity. The analysis of the structure after calcination shows that Polyvinyl acetates (PVAC) component undergoes decomposition and the fibers attain hexagonal fibrous crystals. The properties of photoluminescence observed at 581 nm reveals that the GeO2 nanomaterials may have potential application in future integrated optical devices.
