Abstract

A new cyclic peptide, hibispeptin A, has been isolated from the root bark of Hibiscus syriacus and the structure was assigned as cyclo[-Ahabpa(- pyro-Glu)-Pro-Leu-Phe-] on the basis of various spectroscopic analyses.
