Abstract

Electro-optic performances of the fringe-field switching (FFS) mode have been optimized using a liquid crystal with negative dielectric anisotropy for improved electro optic performances. Fine pattern of electrode width (2μm) with narrow gap (3μm) between them allows FFS device to show high transmittance, low operating voltage and fast response.
