Abstract

In this study, electrospun Nylon-6,6 nanofiber (Nylon-6,6 NFs) reinforced cyclic butylene terephthalate (CBT) composites were prepared by electrospinning process followed by hot press method and compared with the pristine Nylon-6,6 nanofiber in terms of tensile properties and light transparency. The formation of hydrogen bonds between CBT and nylon-6,6 molecules results enhancement of the mechanical property of the composite. Further, the high optical transmittance of the composite was achieved.
