Abstract

We present InP-based multi-layered asymmetric waveguide gain-chip for high gain medium. Using the gain-chip and a polymer-based tunable waveguide grating, we can make a tunable laser with >17mW output power, ∼43dB SMSR and <100kHz linewidth in full C-band.
