Abstract
We report a new fabrication method of coatable polarizer by using lyotropic chromonic liquid crystals dissolved in photocurable ionic monomer solution. The lyotropic solution was shear-coated on a substrate, and UV-cured to obtain a thin film polarizer. This new method provided various advantages which will be covered in the presentation.
