Abstract

The feasibility of three-dimensional (3D) fabric woven with porous PCL filament via electrospinning as scaffold matrices, was evaluated. Electrospinning method which modifies the three-dimensional (3D) structure of PCL fabrics was used to prepare porous filaments. Short-term cultures of MCF-7 cells were carried out in woven structure consisted of porous filament, to investigate the effects of matrix on cell spatial organization and growth. It was shown that woven PCL fabrics provided an environment which supported tissue proliferation and might be used as tissue engineering scaffolds.
