Abstract

Red blood cells shows deformable characteristics to pass narrow capillary in circulating in a blood vessel. We are inspired by the deformation of red blood cell and synthesized a deformable-shaped micro-particles which can be pass through a narrow microchannel with transformation of shape. We designed spiral-shaped microparticle containing empty space part which allows the deformation of structure by fluidic pressure.
