Abstract

Physiologic uterine blush is transient visualization of the uterus in the blood-flow and blood-pool phases of three-phase bone scintigraphy, which commonly occurs in women of reproductive age. However, it must be differentiated from other pathologic conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, tumor, hemangioma, abscess, or telangiectasia. Recently, the authors encountered a case of pregnancy-induced uterine blush incidentally detected by three-phase bone scintigraphy. When uterine blush is shown in women of child-bearing age, the possibility of early pregnancy must be considered.
