Abstract
Photochemical multicomponent reactions are a valuable technology in modern synthetic chemistry. These reactions utilize visible light as a clean and renewable energy source, enabling the construction of diverse molecules from multiple substrates in a single step. These advantages have driven the application of multicomponent photochemical reactions in various fields such as drug discovery, materials science, and agrochemical development. Recently, aryl diazonium tetrafluoroborates have emerged as promising substrates for photochemical multicomponent reactions, and they have been used to synthesize a variety of complex compounds through photochemical multicomponent reactions. This review highlights recent advances in visible light-induced multicomponent reactions employing aryl diazonium tetrafluoroborates.
