Abstract

This paper examined the influence of discrimination against children of multicultural families in Korea on school adjustment and explored the possible mediating effect of self-esteem on the relationship between discrimination and school adjustment. Two salient results of this study are: (1) the study confirmed the fact that discrimination experiences negatively affect school adaptation, and (2) the study was able to confirm the partial mediating effect of self-esteem on the relationship between discrimination experiences and school adaptation.
