Abstract

The Editorial Board of Toxicological Sciences has retracted this paper due to concerns over the authenticity and reliability of some data presented in this article. An accessible investigation (see https://www.uky.edu/prmarketing/statement-research-miscon duct) conducted by the corresponding author's institution, the University of Kentucky, concluded that Figure 2C was falsified due to significant departure from accepted practices of the research community and proven by a preponderance of evidence. Following COPE guidelines for retractions, attempts were made to contact all authors but were unsuccessful with Lei Wang, Young-Ok Son, Xin Wang, John Hitron, Amit Budhraja, Jeong-Chae Lee, Qinchen Lin, Pratheeshkumar Poyil, and Zhuo Zhang. Jia Luo agrees with the retraction. Xianglin Shi disagrees with the retraction.
