Abstract
Although there have been a variety of methods developed in the recent years for the synthesis of silver nanoparticles, still there is a need for development of new shape-selective synthesis strategies. For the first time an extracellular biogenic synthesis technique is described for shape-controlled synthesis of perfectly cubic silver nanoparticles in this study. The abnormal intense (200) peak observed in X-ray diffraction pattern of the nanoparticles confirmed the formation of silver nanocubes. The knowledge obtained through this research opens up new opportunities for the use of fungi in the green synthesis of silver nanocubes.
