Abstract
We present a sheath flow-driven multiple micro-mixer for biological, pharmacological, and biochemical analyses. Theglass capillary-based multiple micro-mixerwas designed, fabricated, and tested to improve molecular diffusion. Rhodamine B solution(2.0 mol/m3),Brilliant blue solution(2.0 mol/m3), and deionized water (0 mol/m3) were infused into inlets. The experimental results were identical to those obtained from the simulations in that deionized water as a sheath flow could control the transport of Rhodamine B and Brilliant blue by diffusion, resulting in an improvement in the multiple micro-mixing at the nano scale.
