Abstract

Two fiber Bragg gratings were applied for simultaneously measuring strain and temperature. The fiber with the gratings was embedded in a silica glass tube. The temperature and strain coefficients of the sensor head were measured using a controlled heater plate and micrometer-driven stage, and the measured values were 10.64 pm °C and 1.26 pm/μstrain respectively.
