Abstract
The "delta sign" has been described as a normal variant on bone scintigraphy, representing radionuclide activity at the site of the deltoid muscle insertion in the proximal one third of the humerus. In the current case, metastases confined to both humeri were shown on Tc-99m MDP bone scintigrams in a patient with gastric cancer. Bilateral increased uptake in the upper one third of both humeri mimicked the delta sign.
