Soft linear MMSE detection for coded MIMO systems

Research output: Contribution to conferenceConference paperpeer-review

Abstract

We propose a computationally efficient MIMO detection scheme which can provide accurate soft information to the decoder. The proposed scheme first estimates symbol-level information using MMSE method, and extract soft bit information from each detected symbol with linear order complexity.compared to the maximum likelihood detection with exponential complexity, the proposed scheme greatly reduces the complexity due to its linear order of computational algorithm.complexity reduction of the proposed scheme increases as the order of the modulation scheme and number of the antennas are increased.
