Abstract
In this study, we introduce two types of micromap plot, linked micromap plot and comparative micromap plot, for spatial visualization of climatic data and describe how spatial patterns of the data can be examined using the plots. The goal of this article is to explore the potential for the visualization techniques of geographically referenced data using the micromap plots. For this purpose, we explored and visualized Korean climatic data for the period 1961-2010. With the plots, we can better explore the relationships of the variables and geographic patterns which are inherent in the data.
