Abstract

To increase contrast ratio (CR) of homogenously aligned LC devices by improvement of dark state and also improve image sticking resistance, reactive mesogen (RM) is mixed with LC and cured at different temperatures. Dark state is improved in the LC cell cured at low temperature by strengthened surface anchoring energy after curing RM.
