Abstract

We report a detailed small angle neutron scattering study on relaxor ferroelectric (1-x)Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-xPbTiO3 (x = 0.30). Anisotropic diffuse scattering elongating along the <110> directions is observed in a wide temperature range 300–500 K. At T = 500 K, the q-dependence of the scattering intensity, I(q), shows Porod's law. For T ≤ 450 K, an additional scattering appears in the Q-range below 0.1 Å−1 and shows a power-law behavior. The power law behavior is discussed in terms of a fractal correlation of polar-nano-regions.
