Abstract

The injection system of paclitaxel to achieve the long term delivery form in clinical application was developed. A paclitaxel SMEDDS containing PLGA having various molecular weight was also examine to find most effective sustained release of paclitaxel. The obtain results indicate that the potential use of microemulsion using PLGA for sustained release of lipophilic drugs such as paclitaxel was well established. The release behavior of paclitaxel from microemulsion containing PLGA having a various molecular weight exhibited sustained release compared with that form microemulsion without PLGA.
