Abstract
This paper analyzes the potential of Vehicle-to-Grid(V2G) provision of the Electric Vehicle(EV) for supporting the control of power system frequency considering the EV charging standards recently published in South Korea. As the number of EVs is expected to be rapidly increased in the near future in South Korea, its contribution on power systems operations as a kind of distributed resources is also highly expected. This paper reviews Korean standards for EV charging system recently proposed by Korean government and analyzes the benefits of V2G through various study cases employing the test systems with multiple EVs and the wind farm.
