Abstract
Three new earthworm species are described from Mt. Tapulao, Luzon Island, Philippines, namely Pheretima tapulaoensis sp. nov. which key to the P. urceolata group, characterised by a pair of spermathecal pores in segmental furrows 5/6, and Pheretima paluigensis sp. nov. and Pheretima taresi sp. nov., which key to the P. darnleiensis group, characterised by having four pairs of spermathecal pores, in 5/6-8/9. The spermathecal pores Pheretima tapulaoensis sp. nov. are 0.14–0.21 circumference apart and the copulatory bursae openings are 0.13–0.20 circumference apart. The spermathecal pores of Pheretima paluigensis sp. nov. are 0.20–0.39 circumference apart and the copulatory bursae openings are 0.11–0.23 circumference apart. The spermathecal pores of Pheretima taresi sp. nov. are 0.24–0.32 circumference apart and the copulatory bursae openings are 0.13–0.20 circumference apart. urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:CB44444A-AB50-4633-A317-93BA6BA49FBA.
