Abstract
This paper examines the top 50 authors, affiliations, and countries in the maritime transportation field. The analysis covers articles published in 65 journals in maritime and transportation. Three indicators are used for ranking: number of papers, the weighted score that reflects the contribution of the authors, and the impact score which considers the impact factor. Temporal changes of ranking are examined in five-year intervals. The potential correlation between methodological popularity and author performance is also discussed.
